Director Clement Virgo premieres Brother at the TIFF 2022

It was a groundbreaking moment for Canadian film as director Clement Virgo‘s latest installment Brother premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2022. The story is based on the novel of the same name by David Chariandy. The award-winning writer focuses on two brothers growing up in Scarborough in the 1990s. The struggle to achieve their dreams alongside growing up to be the man they perceive to be is stunted. Violence is around every corner in the deep pockets of Scarborough. There is no easy way to escape and run away from it all.
FERNTV had the chance to speak to lead actor Lamar Johnson, director Clement Virgo, actress Kiana Madeira and Marsha Stephanie Blake. As well as rising stars Jacob Williams and Nigel Sebastian Singh.
