Jude Law fights The Order @Venice Film Festival
Director Justin Kurzel’s The Order puts Jude Law right back on the map in this intense thriller

Director Justin Kurzel’s The Order has to be one of the most surprising bangers during the Venice Film Festival. Jude Law plays FBI agent Terry Husk who is investigating a series of car heists and bank robberies that frightens the communities in the Pacific Northwest. He then gets the notion that these crimes are not only financially motivated but larger in scale. He partners up with Jamie Bowen played by Tye Sheridan to track down these organized group of criminals and their underlying motivation.
Brandon Hoult plays a frightening Bob Mathews who has created his own group within a white supremacy community. A true visionary as he starts to revolt against his own leaders after amassing the power from committing organized crimes. FERNTV was surprised at the level of acting that Hoult plays as Bob Mathews because we would never think that he would be this sinister as a leader of a white supremacy community. After playing a wimpy boyfriend to Anya-Taylor Joy in The Menu. In The Order, his character scary and unpredictable.
With his evil latent acting and along with Jude Law’s gritty bad cop demeanour, The Order is a intense slow burner of a film that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The film is complemented with the startling and fascinating gun fights that are very reminiscent of Michael Mann’s Heat. The soundtrack that builds up this tension is superior and haunting and gets into the depths of your brain.
The Order is such an engaging film that Jude Law spearheads into the highest level. It’s a very masculine film that us boys are known to grow up with. The premise of him taking down a white supremacy group that was set back in the early 1980s is one that will set Law’s career to higher levels after a long hiatus. FERNTV says its good to see actor like Jude Law come back with a bang. No pun intended.
