Ben Stiller‘s latest directorial venture, Nutcrackers, will premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 5th at the iconic Roy Thomson Hall. This highly anticipated film stars Stiller himself, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Linda Cardellini and Edi Patterson. “Nutcrackers” weaves a darkly comedic narrative that Stiller, a workaholic, has to travel to rural Ohio to look after his recently orphaned nephews. The film promises a blend of sharp wit and emotional depth, showcasing Stiller’s unique ability to balance humour with poignant storytelling.

Premiering at TIFF, a prestigious platform known for launching award-winning films, Nutcrackers is already generating significant buzz among critics and audiences alike. As one of the festival’s opening night features, “Nutcrackers” is poised to set the tone for a memorable TIFF 2024, offering a compelling exploration of family dynamics wrapped in Stiller’s signature comedic style. FERNTV says that this will certainly set the tone of this year’s star-studded festival in Toronto.
